Architectural Control Committee

The Hills “Declarations and Covenants …” document establishes the role of the neighborhood’s Architectural Control Committee. Article VIII, Section 18, paragraph 3 reads-- “No building, structure, fence, wall, or improvement of any kind or nature shall be erected, placed, or altered on any Affected Lot (this includes every home/lot in the Hills) until all plans and specifications, a plot plan and one or more surveys have been submitted to and approved in writing by the Committed, or the majority of its members.”

The covenant pertains to all exterior projects in front, back, and side yards, including but not limited to fences, patio covers, additions, storage buildings, and landscape improvements such as tree plantings, masonry bed borders, etc.

Note: Most projects do not require a formal plot plan or survey.
